WHAT TYPE OF HAIR BRUSHES SHOULD YOU BE USING?

There are so many different brushes out there, it can be intimidating trying to find the one that will be best suited for your hair. Believe it or not different brushes really do perform completely different tasks for your hair and it is important to use the correct brush for the correct function.

Here are different types of brushes and what they are used for:

The Paddle Brush

If you have super thick hair the paddle brush is a must have for you. It is a great multi-purpose brush and perfect for any hair type and general day to day grooming and for detangling hair. This is a great one to keep in your handbag and use whenever your hair needs some taming.

The Vent Brush

The Vent Brush is designed for quick hair drying time. The vents allow the hot air from your blow dryer to reach the hair more easily shortening your drying time. You want to brush continuously from the top of your head down to the ends while drying.

The Large Round Brush

This brush is used for creating volume in the hair. You constantly roll the hair around the brush through the hair while drying. This way you create gorgeous and voluminous hair without too much fuss.

The Smoothing Brush

This hair is perfect for smoothing out your hair when creating hairstyles, such as a ponytail. It is also great for taming fly-aways and stray hairs. A great way to use it, is to spray some hairspray onto the bristles of the brush and then gently work it over desired areas. It will give your hair a really sleek effect and gorgeous shine.

The Detangling Brush

This brush is designed to be used on damp hair to glide through tangles. The bristles are soft and flexible as wll as perfectly spaced apart to glide through hair without causing any damage.

The Teasing Brush

These brushes are usually made with 100% Boar Bristles. Teasing adds a large amount of volume to the roots. This is great for creating loads of different hairstyles. Choose a section of hair, spray hairspray at the root area and brush downward to create your desired amount of body. Then use you teasing comb to lightly tame stray hairs.

The Natural Bristle Brush

This brush is great for mixing your hair with your hair extensions. It is also great for brushing out curls to create gorgeous hollywood style waves. The mixed bristles at different height will distribute the natural oils through your hair and create a gorgeous shine. Use this brush every night for softer and shinier hair.

What to use for your extensions?

When it comes to your Frontrow Clip-in hair extensions, my advice is to stick to your paddle brush, detangling brush or mixed bristle brush. Always brush the extensions in gentle strokes from top to bottom, staring at the ends of your hair and working your way up.
