Watch our step-by-step video to learn how to wash, treat and dry your extensions the right way to minimise damage and keep them looking healthy, shiny and as good as new.
It’s important to treat your human hair extensions the same way you would your own hair. This means washing them with a sulfate-free shampoo, conditioning them with a repairing treatment, detangling them gently while wet and leaving them out to air-dry whenever possible.
Human hair extensions tend to be pricey, so rather than replacing them every few months due to wear and tear, why not handle them with care and they’ll last you a lifetime?
Be sure to use the best moisturizing shampoo and conditioner you have and allow the conditioner time to work into the hair. Be gentle on the extensions when they are wet, don’t tug too hard at them. Make sure the clips are shut when washing, to avoid any hair getting caught and tangled in the clips. Use a repair spray on the hair before gently combing the hair, starting at the ends and working your way up. Allow the hair to dry naturally, as this will prolong their lifespan.
