After receiving so many questions about the aftercare of the extensions, we show you how to make your hair look as good as the day you received it.
The first thing you need to know, and this is the golden, GOLDEN acknowledgment for your clipins: even although the extensions are 100% Indian hair, they do not receive the natural oils that your own hair receives on a daily basis from your scalp. They therefor tend to get dry more easily, but do not get dirty as quickly, so you only wash the extensions after 10 - 15 wears.
When you see the ends of the extensions appear dry, or the hair doesn't feel silky soft anymore, we recommend treating the hair with the following products (all of which are available here):
Step 2: Add the REF maskto the hair, then rinse out after 10-15 minutes. You can also wrap the hair in glad wrap for extra moisture.
Step 4: Rinse the mask out and apply either REF Argan Oil or REF Leave in Treatment. For best results and more intense moisture, use together. Once you have spread the product all over and especially on the ends, you brush through gently with your Tangle Teezer, starting with the bottom tangles and then working your way up. This is annoying, (we know )!, but important to prevent damaging the hair.
Step 5: Leave over night on your Clipin hangerfor the product(s) to soak into the hair and dry naturally. Do not rinse out. If you wish to style your clipins, be sure to use a good heat defensive spray for that extra protection before applying your heating tools. Remember, once the hair is burnt, it's not able to repair itself, so the heat protector is great to protect it against a flat iron. The Shine Spray has a deliciously yum smell to it, and makes the hair nice and shiny, ideal for a big event.
