We are super excited to launch our New and Improved FrontRow Hair Blog, which will be your go-to resource for everything hair related! I have been immensely blessed and will be working closely with top Artistic Photographer Tracy Loubser. Together we will bring you incredible photographs and fashion inspiration to help you really get in touch with the essence of who you are as a woman and your own fashion style.
On this blog we feature our hair tutorials, hair product reviews, fashion inspiration and much more! – Upstyled by Kimmy For my first fashion look I wanted to bring you something cute, sexy and Valentines day ready. Yes, can you believe it? We have just wiped the sleep from our eyes after our December, Christmas slumber and we already have our next festive celebration to look forward to.
This outfit began with “the shoes” – A Christmas gift from my husband. There’s nothing like a good pair of on-trend heels that go with just about everything, so when I spotted numerous celebrities wearing fierce black fetish sandals, I headed off to find some straight away. So bear in mind these were a Christmas pressie and a little pricey, we picked them up at Socrati Italian Shoes Store Cedar Square on sale for R1799.
The Gentle White Multi-Layered Skirt is a great choice when you want to look care-free and stunning this summer. Polyester chiffon makes this multi-layer maxi skirt very breathable, perfect for our hot South African summer weather, and the netted lace detailing offers a chic style for beach houses and braais’. I picked this one up at Nicci Boutique in Cedar Square, it was on Sale for R279.
The Crop Top
You are not alone if the word “crop top” calls up scary images of belly-baring ‘90s pop stars. It is not the easiest trend to style correctly, and does need to be paired with a rather daring fashion sense. Fear not, a crop top doesn’t necessarily mean showing off your belly button. There are plenty of ways to style a crop top so that you are showing only an elegant amount of skin, and not your whole stomach. Perfect for me, as my stomach is full of stretch marks after 2 children. That is why I chose a skirt with a high waistband and only allowed the very top of my tummy to peak out from underneath this cute MRP crop top for about R39.
For my hair the words flirty, care-free and fun sprung to mind. Sometimes simpler is better and so I decide to go with basic, natural flowing, long waves to finish off this fun look. I use a set of 220g Chestnut Ombre extensions for additional length and thickness. See my tutorial video below on how to create these waves at home.
